This is quite true. Mr. Chavez was re-elected to work on a political project called the Socialism for the XXI century, I don't think it it prioritizes personal gain and outflows of capital, indeed it seems to prioritize rebuilding slums and keeping oilwealth within the country or using it in ALBA international relations. If that is what the Venezuelan people have elected him for then so be it, the private investors can look for gains in more capital-friendly countries. The oil business is on its way out anyway and diversification will have to be part of the short-term plans of Venezuela in the short term.
